Special Foundations - Engineering
The construction of a work, in relation to its interaction with the soil, and its control, requires geological and geotechnical investigations aimed at identifying functional parameters for structural design. Our engineers develop complex analyses using specialized software to ensure the best design and economic choice. The integrated approach between different professionals ensures that each solution identified meets specific project needs, taking advantage of the opportunities provided by contemporary techniques and materials. The same qualitative method is developed to verify existing structures, allowing for intervention with minimally invasive solutions, especially in the case of structures with historic-artistic value. Prior to the construction of a work, in relation to the interaction between the work and the soil, and its control, it requires geological and geotechnical investigations aimed at identifying functional parameters for structural design.
Various underground works - Engineering
For the design of natural tunnels, multi-stage structural features and operating methodologies are used. Having defined the design framework for geological and geo-mechanical work, all design considerations are analyzed and the behavior of the excavated mass is defined, based on the geological and geo-mechanical framework and advance geometries.
Through dedicated multi-criteria probability modeling software, Offtec conducts detailed risk analyses in order to determine the most appropriate excavation method for the planned underground works. This process takes into account the time required and construction costs for each type of excavation, depending on the types of rock masses. The study makes it possible to assess the risks associated with the parameters that define the geo-mechanical behavior of soils and rock masses, identifying the best characteristics to minimize risks related to each excavation method. Once the type of progress and planned operations are defined, a monitoring system is selected in light of the excavation methodology (traditional or mechanized) in order to verify the work in progress.
Hydraulic works - Engineering
OFFTEC addresses complex hydraulic engineering problems. The design covers the development of waterways and river basins, protection of outdoor structures, reclamation and irrigation, water supply systems, and water and sewage systems. As a result of this significant design experience in civil works, we have often received specific assignments to resolve interference with important infrastructure such as siphons, catch basins and lifting equipment, reservoirs, intake structures, and similar works.
